So Saturday we thought we would spend the day doing a
little walking around and looking for souvenirs. However the weather just
didn't allow it. So we decided to do a little sight seeing instead. Even with
the rain we were able to see quite a bit. We wished we could have taken more
pictures but the rain just kept getting the lens wet even when we took the shot
from within the car. So the best of what we could get is below. Some might be a
little foggy and I apologize for the water spots but we tried to take the
picture as quickly as we could to avoid having to wipe down the lens every
time.
We're staying in a B & B in Portree. It's okay
nothing real special. The nice thing about Portree is that there are about 100
hundred B & B's so there are lots to choose from if your making
arrangements last minute like we did. There are also many B&B's
outside of town closer to the coast and I'm sure the prices are comparable.
Portree is about 20 miles South East of Uig on its
own little Sea Loch.
One of the photo's below is at the Tea House right
off the main road and over looks "The Little Minch", and is a new
find not in any of the travel books that we used to plan our trip. Its a great
place to warm up with a nice cup of tea and fresh made (daily) pie or cake.
Other photo's are along the drive and some heading up toward Talisker the
only whiskey Distillery on the Isle.

| Look closely and you can see a bunch of water falls off this mountain. When the wind blows so hard up ward it also blows the water up. |
